Abstract

Information about the dangers of diabetik foot ulcers causes low knowledge, attitudes and actions of DM patients. The purpose of this study was to study the knowledge and attitudes of people with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the treatment of diabetik foot in Mardiwaluyo District Hospital, Blitar City. This research is descriptive research. The population in this penetration are all patients with type II diabetes mellitus in July to August 2019 of 42 people, with a total monthly of 21 people. The sample in this study amounted to 20 people with a sampling technique is purposive sampling. This research was carried out in December 2019, in the Melati Room, Dahlia Room and Rose Room and Bougenville Room Mardiwaluyo Regional Hospital, Blitar City. Data analysis using frequency distribution for knowledge and attitude variables. The results showed that the majority of respondents namely as many as 15 respondents (75%) had knowledge about foot care in the quite good category. While half of the respondents are as many as 10 respondents (50%) have an attitude about foot care in the positive category. Information about diabetik foot care causes low knowledge, attitude and care of DM sufferers. Knowledge and attitudes that help overcome challenges, increase self-confidence and motivation to manage yourself better.
