Abstract

Abstract: The number of NTT students who experience barriers in interacting with students and lecturers of different cultures, so it needs a good adaptability of the students of NTT. Roy's model of adaptation has the assumption to respond positively to environmental change through adaptation which has 4 effector namely; Physiological needs, self-concept, role and interdependent functions. There are 3 effector which is influenced by one of the factors of learning motivation is social interaction. The purpose of this research was to explain the correlation of culture adaptation and student learning motivation of NTT. The research design used was correlational, with sample of 27 NTT students. The research was conducted on 20 until 21 April 2017. Instruments of data collection using questionnaires. The results showed adaptation of 59% adaptive culture, 41% maldaptif and learning motivation showed 78% bad category, and 22% good category. By using coefficient contingency test shows the value of ρ = 0,021 where < 0,05 meaning there was correlation of culture adaptation with student learning motivation NTT in STIKes Patria Husada Blitar. While the correlation coefficient rs = 0,405, which means the correlation of culture adaptation with student learning motivation NTT in STIKes Patria Husada has a direct correlation. From the results of this study is expected, students can increase confidence to be able to adapt to new environments or new culture and students are expected to be more motivated to improve knowledge so that tasks were not denied tasks so that can minimize process of collecting tasks on time.
