Abstract

Abstract: ASI has advantages and privilages as a source of nutrients compared to other nutrient sources. However, breastfeeding often fail. The main cause of failure of breast feeding is a problem in the breast. One of them chafed nipples. The cause blisters putting a very dominant with breast fee ding preparationespecially on breast feeding tech niques and breast care. The purpose of this study was to determine how the preparation of breastfeeding lowers the incidence of blisters on the nipple postpartum mother in Sub-district Health Centers Gandusari Kec. Gandusari Kab. Blitar. The design of this study pre-eksperimental with posttest only control group design. The population in this study is 50 postpartum mother in Health Centers by using purposive sampling. So that respondents have as many as 16 respondents. The independent variable is the preparation of breastfeeding, the dependent variable is the sore nipple blisters. The instrument used was SOP. The results of the sattistical Fisher Exact Probability Test showed p=0,003 (a=0,05). It can be concluded that the preparation of brestfeeding can reduce the incidence of blisters on the nipple postpartum mother in Sub-district Health Centers Gandusari. Given this research, more respondents expected to actively ask, observing carefully about breasfeeding preparation especially breaastfeeding techniques and reat ments given. So, breastfeeding in infants can run smoothly. As for the profession of midwifery results of this study can be used as input in motivating postpartum mother, so that it can perform the techniques of breastfeeding and breastcare, the right to avoid blisters on the nipple.
