Abstract

Leadership style is a behavioral pattern designed to integrate organizational goals with the individual goal to achieve a goal. Leadership styles are divided into four: autocratic, democratic, participatory and free of action. Saturation is a work-saturation syndrome characterized by emotional fatigue, personalized and decreased self-achievement that occurs in a person because of his job. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship of head leadership style with saturation of nurses working in Central Surgery Installation RSUD Kanjuruhan Kepanjen Malang. The design used was a correlational descriptive with a population of 30 nurses implementing sampling technique with total sampling. Data collection using questionnaires includes demographic data, leadership style and job saturation. The results showed that leadership style applied in the Central Surgical Installation of Kanjuruhan Kepanjen Hospital were: autocratic (46,7%), democratic (33,3%), participation (16,7%) and free of action (3,3%). Saturation is at a low level (76.7%) and moderate (23.3%). The spearman rho test shows the p value of 0.605 (> 0.05). The conclusion of this research is there is no correlation between leadership style of head of space with saturation of nurses working in Central Surgery Installation RSUD Kanjuruhan Kepanjen Malang. Further research is expected to discuss the factors that cause saturation, namely external factors and internal factors. Externa; factors cover poor working conditions, rigit procedures and rules, leadership styles that lack consideration and work demands. While internal factors are, gender, age. Self esteem, individual characteristic and years of service.
